A estrutura ética da linguagem como saída da ontologia totalizante em Emmanuel Lévinas

    The present article will deal with the relationship between ethics and language in the philosophy of alterity in Emmanuel Lévinasy. Starting from the consultation of his main philosophical works, it will be a reading of the outstanding problems of language in the field of contemporary philosophy. Lévinasy is disappointed with the totalizing philosophy of the West, which he thought to justify the violence toward the different. In contrast, he develops his thought amid objections to that philosophy, allowing reflections about the ethical structure of language that, according to the philosopher, takes place in the relationship of the “self” with the “others”. The interaction happens first and significantly in a “non-verbal” form and it is the reliable way out to the non instrumentalized rationality.

    O presente artigo abordará a relação entre ética e linguagem na filosofia da alteridade de Emmanuel Lévinas. Partindo da consulta de suas principais obras filosóficas, faz-se uma leitura sobre a problemática da linguagem no campo da filosofia contemporânea. Lévinas decepciona-se com a filosofia totalizante do ocidente, a qual ele julgava justificar a violência para com o diferente. Em contraposição, ele desenvolve seu pensamento por entre objeções àquela filosofia, permitindo refletir sobre a estrutura ética da linguagem que, segundo o filosofo, dá-se na relação do “eu” com “outrem”. A intercomunicação acontece primeiro e significativamente de forma “não-verbal” e é saída confiável da racionalidade não instrumentalizada.
