Resumen de Identidade(s) no Estado Novo: a nacionalização e os teuto-brasileiros

  Uma das propostas do Governo de Getúlio Vargas no chamado Estado Novo foi o construir um sentimento de nacionalidade entre todos que habitavam o Brasil e, se necessário, “abrasileirar” os imigrantes e seus descendentes aqui fixados. Tal proposta atingiu, em especial, os alemães e seus descendentes que, apesar de se considerarem brasileiros, desejavam também manter os traços culturais e costumes que os ligavam a sua pátria-mãe, a Alemanha, relação inaceitável para as autoridades brasileiras da época. Sendo assim, o presente artigo procura analisar os mecanismos utilizados pelo Governo do Brasil, na imposição de um projeto de nacionalização, bem como a reação dos teuto brasileiros.

  One of the proposals of the government of Getúlio Vargas in the called “New State” was to construct a feeling of nationality between whom they inhabited Brazil and, if necessary, to transform like Brazilians the immigrants and its descendants fixed here. Such proposal, reached, in special, the Germans and its descendants who, although to consider Brazilians, also desired to keep the cultural traces and customs that bound its native landmother to them, Germany, unacceptable relation for the Brazilian authorities of the time. Being thus, the present article looks for to analyze the mechanisms used for the Government of Brazil, in the imposition of a nationalization project, as well the reaction of the teutobrazilians.
