  O presente artigo procura investigar a utilização de testes psicométricos publicados pela literatura jurídica voltada à Medicina Forense. Para tanto, buscamos identificar as fontes de tais testes dentro de uma política disciplinar do corpo, ao mesmo tempo em que se formatavam as fronteiras entre os discursos médico científico e jurídico no final do século XIX e na primeira metade do XX. Tais limites embora representados como exatos, na Medicina Legal, parecem criar um campo ambíguo de cumplicidade e disputa entre tais saberes do corpo. Principalmente em teses sobre assuntos aparentemente abstratos, como a “inteligência”, que se configurou como um campo de manipulação de hereditaristas e eugenistas.

  Forensic Medicine: Discourses and representations about “intelligence”. This paper seeks to investigate the utilization of psychometric tests published in juridical literature for Forensic Medicine. In order to do this, we seek to identify the sources of such tests within a disciplinary policy of the body, at the same time when the boundaries were formed between the medicalscientific and juridical discourses at the end of the XIX century and the first half of the XX century. Although represented as exact in Forensic Medicine, such limits seem to create an ambiguous field of complicity and dispute between such disciplines of the body, principally in theses about subject matters, which are apparently abstract, like “intelligence”, which is configured as a manipulation field of hereditarians and eugenicists.
