  • The following new algae are described from the Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous in the Bicaz Valley (East Carpathians): Griphoporella piae n. sp., "Macroporella" praturloni n. sp., Pianella johnsoni n. sp., P. exilis n. sp., Radoiciciella subtitis n. gen. n. sp. (Dasycladaceae); Globochaete spinosa n. sp., (Protococcaceae); Arabicordium jurassicum n. sp., A. elongatus n. sp., A. orientalis n. sp., Cayeuxia anae n. sp., C atanasiui n. sp., C. elliotti n. sp., Ortonella lemoineae n. sp., (Codiaceae); Lithophyllum? maslovi n. sp., (Melobesioideae) and Lacrymorphus barremianus n. sp. (Problematicae) A series of taxonomic and systematic remarks are made of the following types of algae: Carpathoporella fontis (Patrulius), Amphiroa carpiana (Dragastan) and "Clypeina" parvissima Dragastan.
