  • Assemblages of Alveolinella quoii obtained from the Coral Sea are parasitized by Planorbulinopsis parasita, n. gen., n. sp. This is the first account of endoparasitism by a polythalamous Rotaline foraminifer, and the nature, role and significance of foraminiferal parasites are discussed.
