La iluminación del manuscrito inglés Harley-MS-4951 de principios del siglo XIII muestra una curiosa disposición de la Trinidad Divina. Si el Padre y el Hijo se identifican fácilmente, el Espíritu Santo aparece en forma de X coronada por dos cabezas de animales, una amenazante y la otra afable. Esto sugiere que el Espíritu se consideraba doble y estaba formado por dos espíritus opuestos. Esta hipótesis se verifica mediante la observación del tímpano de la catedral de Jaca.

The illumination from the early thirteenth century English manuscript HarleyMS-4951 shows a curious disposition of the divine trinity. If the Father and the Son are easily identified, the Holy Spirit appears in the form of an X surmounted by two animal heads, one threatening and the other affable. This suggests that the Spirit was considered double and made up of two opposing spirits. This hypothesis is verified by the observation of the tympanum of the cathedral of Jaca.

L’enluminure du manuscrit anglais Harley-MS-4951 datant du début du 13e siècle, montre une curieuse disposition de la trinité divine. Si le Père et le Fils sont facilement identifiés, le Saint Esprit apparait sous la forme d’un X surmonté par deux têtes animales, l’une menaçante et l’autre affable. Ceci laisse supposer que l’Esprit était considéré comme double, et fait de deux esprits opposés. Cette hypothèse est vérifiée par l’observation du tympan de la cathédrale de Jaca.
