Este trabajo propone un estado de la cuestión sobre un aspecto de creciente interés para los estudios sobre la represión estatal en el pasado reciente de Argentina: el despliegue transnacional del aparato represivo durante la última dictadura militar (1976-1983). La primera parte hace un balance de aportes hechos por investigaciones históricas sobre la articulación argentina en redes represivas en América Latina. La segunda parte se concentra en líneas incipientes de indagación que avanzan sobre espacios, actores y lógicas del despliegue transnacional del aparato represivo que amplían el foco más allá del problema de la persecución a las disidencias políticas latinoamericanas.

This paper proposes a state of the art on an aspect of growing interest for studies on state repression in Argentina's recent past: the transnational activity of the repressive apparatus during the last military dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1983). In the first part, the contributions made by historical research on Argentina's articulation in repressive networks throughout Latin America will be analyzed. In the second part, the focus will be put on incipient lines of inquiry regarding spaces, actors and peculiarities of the transnational activity of the Argentine repressive apparatus, thus broadening the scope beyond the question of the persecution of Latin American political dissidents.
