    Se describen un total de 17 especies de la región Oriental pertenecientes a los géneros Podeonius Kiesenwetter, 1858 (11), Pachyderes Guérin-Ménéville, 1830 (2), Aphanobius Eschscholtz, 1829 (2), Elater Linnaeus, 1758(1) y Ludigenoides Platia, 2004 (1); se indican nuevas citas de países para 6 especies de los géneros Podeonius (3) y Aphanobius (3), y se proponen dos nuevas combinaciones genéricas para Glyphochilus spissus Vats & Chauhan, 1993 (=Pachyderes) and Cardiorhinus truncatus Vats & Chauhan, 1993 (=Aphanobius), ambas descritas del NO de la India.

    A total of 17 new species belonging to the genera Podeonius Kiesenwetter, 1858 (11), Pachyderes Guérin-Ménéville, 1830 (2), Aphanobius Eschscholtz, 1829 (2), Elater Linnaeus, 1758(1) and Ludigenoides Platia, 2004 (1) from the Oriental region are described; for six species of the genus Podeonius (3) and Aphanobius (3) new countries records are given, and two new generic combinations are proposed for Glyphochilus spissus Vats & Chauhan, 1993 (=Pachyderes) and Cardiorhinus truncatus Vats & Chauhan, 1993 (=Aphanobius) both described from NW India.
