Argentina
This article outlines the keys to understand the role of the State in the social treatment of three exceptional death cases occurring between 2012 and 2017 in northeastern Argentina. To this end, it brings forward the concepts of mindset construction by the State and collective consciousness, which have been theorized by P. Bourdieu (1997), P. Corrigan and D. Sayer (2007) when addressing the State and its role in the construction of the ideas that serve as a basis for interpreting and acting in the social world. From there, it recognizes a series of "rituals" or prototypical forms of action, which are conducive for building an order concurrent with the development of the economic system; among which the life administration in terms of usefulness and the disposal of surplus bodies stand out as the foundation of state inaction in the treatment of the referred cases.
