  Este trabajo presenta un manuscrito inédito de José Castagno, un peón rural que participó de la huelga rural ocurrida en Santa Cruz en el año 1921, más específicamente en el noreste del territorio, zona para la cual se cuenta con pocos antecedentes. Se realiza una reconstrucción de la secuencia espacio-temporal a partir de la memoria del autor, que quedó plasmada en su relato, con el fin de contrastar lo expuesto con fuentes independientes y discutir su verosimilitud. Se analiza también el aporte que este relato manuscrito brinda para ampliar el conocimiento que tenemos de esta huelga en el noreste de Santa Cruz.

  This paper presents an unpublished manuscript by Jose Castagno, a rural laborer who participated in the rural strike occurred in Santa Cruz in 1921, specifically in the northeast of the territory, an area for which there is little background. A reconstruction of the spatiotemporal sequence of the story is carried out, in order to contrast what was presented by the author with independent sources and discuss its plausibility. The contribution that this manuscript brings to the historical studies of the rural strikes in the northeast of Santa Cruz is analyzed.
