La formación discursiva del Management en la literatura europea del siglo XIX. Los nuevos socios del manejo.

    Este trabajo analiza la presencia de los elementos del mundo industrial y, más concretamente, del Management en la literatura europea de mitad del siglo XIX. En la primera etapa de investigación se realizó un recorrido que pone en paralelo la realidad histórica de los acontecimientos que moldearon la evolución de los roles empresariales en este período con su reflejo en la literatura de la época, a partir del cual surgió una línea de análisis de la formación discursiva de algunos de los términos aún hoy utilizados en el campo disciplinar del Management. Si bien la figura del burgués es en general la más analizada por ser el arquetipo industrial y la figura emblemática, entendemos como importante y significativo analizar aquellas expresiones y conceptos propios del mánager como una figura sumamente importante que permitirá reconocer marcas sociohistóricas del proceso que permitió el surgimiento deuna nueva subjetividad y la afirmación de nuevos términos que le dieron entidad. El trabajo se inscribe dentro del estudio descriptivo de textos y un posterior análisis crítico del discurso. Un análisis preliminar permitió relevar una serie de textos literarios escritos y publicados en Francia e Inglaterra durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. La selección del corpus de textos literarios se realizó teniendo en cuenta una línea temporal creada para la investigación y la determinación de una serie de hechos históricos ocurridos durante esa ventana de tiempo, los cuales son identificados como el origen del tipo de discurso social hoy conocido como «discurso del Management». La elección final de las obras a ser analizadas tuvo que ver con los espacios editoriales de publicación de las mismas y su relación con el mundo industrial.

    This paper examines the presence of elements of the industrial world and particularly of Ma-nagement in the European literature of the mid - 19th century. In the first stage of the in-vestigation, we drew a parallel between the historic facts which gave birth to the origin and evolution of the managerial roles in this period and the reflection of these facts in the literary work of the time. This search showed a line of analysis of the discursive formation of the language which is used still today in the managerial field of study. The methodological approach selected for this research is the des-criptive study of texts and the critical discourse analysis. A preliminary literature review allowed us to go through a series of literary texts written and published either in France or England in different years of the mid-19th century. Althou-gh the bourgeois is in general the most studied and analyzed figure since it is the industrial ar-chetype and the emblematic icon figure, we find it important and significant to analyze the expressions and concepts which are charac-teristic of managers as a very important figure which will enable to recognize socio historical traces of the process which allowed the origin of a new subjectivity and the affirmance of a new terminology which identifies it.The criterion used to select and gather a corpus of novels was a time line specially drawn for this research work and the establishment of a chain of his-torical facts which took place during that time window which are identified as the origin of the type of social discourse called «managerial discourse». The final decision about the novels to be studied had more to do with their publi-shing characteristics and with the connection of their plots with the industrial world.
