    El siguiente artículo analiza el proceso de crecimiento del cuerpo de delegadessindicales que se produce en la Asociación Empleados de Comercio de Rosario(en adelante AEC)desde el año 2012 hasta 2019. Este estudio forma parte de una investigación más amplia que aborda el sindicato mercantil rosarino desde la década del ‘90 hasta la actualidad. En este período, la AEC despliega diferentes estrategias gremiales en un sector históricamente alejado de los niveles de conflictividad laboral de otras ramas del movimiento obrero.El objetivo del presente artículo consiste en analizar las transformaciones cuantitativas en el cuerpo de delegadesen el contexto de renovación que se produce desde el año 2012 en adelante. En este contexto se produce un crecimiento de larepresentación sindicalen losestablecimientos mercantiles. Analizaremos este crecimiento cuantitativo para, a futuro, indagar si esta mayor presencia del sindicato implicó una mejora en las condiciones laborales del sector mercantil. Siguiendo esta línea, algunas de las preguntas queguían el artículo son: ¿cómo se produce este crecimiento del cuerpo de delegades? ¿Cuáles son las razones que lo explican? ¿Hay diferencias dentro del período? ¿Qué subsectores dentro de comercio lo impulsan? ¿Cuáles son los desafíos que presenta este crecimiento?

    The following article analyzes the process of growth of the shop stewards occurring in the Rosario Retail Union (hereinafter referred to as AEC, for its acronym in Spanish) from 2012 to 2019. This study is part of a broader research that addresses this union from the 1990s to the present. During this period, the AEC deploys different union strategies in a sector historically far from the levels of labor conflict of other branches of the labor movement. The aim of this article is to analyze the quantitative transformations in the body of shop stewards in the context of renewal that occurs from 2012 onwards. In this context there is a growth in the number of shop stewards in the retail companies. We will analyze this quantitative growth in order to, in the future, investigate whether this greater union presence implied an improvement in working conditions in the retail sector. Following this line, some of the questions that guide the article are: how does this growth takes place? What are the reasons that explain it? Are there differences within the period? Which subsectors within retail drive it? What are the challenges presented by this growth?
