Resumen de Salud integral de las mujeres del sistema penal de Lima-Perú

  La relevancia del estudio parte del respeto a los derechos humanos en las mujeres privadas de su libertad, debido a que estos, en muchas ocasiones son vulnerados dentro de las prisiones, porque muchas veces esta población es omitida socialmente. El objetivo del estudio fue explorar la salud integral de las internas de los penales de mujeres de Lima-Perú. El enfoque de investigación es cualitativo, con un tipo de estudio básico, bajo un diseño narrativo, utilizando una muestra no probabilística por conveniencia de 30 internas con 12 meses de convivencia mínima, sentenciadas por diversos delitos. Los resultados demuestran que existe una crisis sanitaria en la salud integral, magnificada por la presencia de la pandemia. Se observan distintas dificultades que presentan las mujeres privadas de su libertad, lo cual no aporta en el proceso de resocialización y más aún, si se presentan crisis sanitarias, originadas por el COVID-19. Se concluye que las cárceles de mujeres deben ser centros de rehabilitación y corrección, y no solamente centros de castigo y omisiones de derechos humanos.

  The relevance of the study is based on the respect for human rights in women deprived of their liberty, because these are often violated within prisons, because many times this population is socially omitted. The objective of the study was to explore the comprehensive health of the inmates of women’s prisons in Lima-Peru. The research approach is qualitative, with a basic type of study, under a narrative design, using a non-probabilistic convenience sample of 30 inmates with a minimum of 12 months of cohabitation, sentenced for various crimes. The results show that there is a health crisis in comprehensive health, magnified by the presence of the pandemic. Different difficulties are observed that women deprived of their liberty present, which does not contribute to the resocialization process and even more so, if there are health crises caused by COVID-19. It is concluded that women’s prisons should be centers for rehabilitation and correction, and not just centers for punishment and omissions of human rights
