    La literatura científica reconoce cada vez más la importancia del capital social en el desarrollo turístico de un territorio. Un destino turístico es un ecosistema conformado por un conjunto de actores (las partes interesadas) que se interrelacionan entre ellos y este grado de interacción está directamente relacionado con el desarrollo de los destinos turísticos. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo el análisis de las partes interesadas en el desarrollo turístico de cuatro ciudades de Ecuador. Para ello, la metodología se centra en identificar a los actores a partir de los niveles de poder, influencia y urgencia. Los resultados de este estudio muestran que existen diferentes tipos de stakeholders en cada ciudad, con distintos niveles de participación, lo que se refleja en el grado de desarrollo turístico de estas ciudades.

    The importance of social capital for the tourism development of an area is increasingly recognized in the scientific literature. A tourist destination is an ecosystem composed of a series of actors (stakeholders) who interact with each other, and this level of interaction is directly related to the development of tourist destinations. This research aims to analyze the stakeholders in the tourism development of four cities in Ecuador. For this purpose, the methodology is focused on identifying the actors based on the levels of power, influence and urgency. The results of this study show that there are different types of stakeholders in each city, with different levels of participation, which is manifested in the degree of tourism development in these cities.
