    OBJETIVO: Proporcionar al lector los aspectos básicos que se deben de observar en el procesamiento de una escena del crimen, para que se puede efectuar una defensa técnica eficiente y objetiva. METODO: Por medio de la investigación documental. RESULTADO: se ha logrado establecer que la escena del crimen representa la mayor fuente de evidencia, en la investigación penal, un eficiente procesamiento del lugar de los hechos, permite contar con la evidencia necesaria para fortalecer la teoría del caso y comprobar la hipótesis criminal, a través de medios probatorios científicos que permitan vincular la participación del delincuente en la comisión de un hecho delictivo. CONCLUSIÓN: así que el eficiente procesamiento de la escena del crimen coadyuva a la averiguación de la verdad, aportando los medios probatorios necesarios para sustentar la teoría del caso presentada por el Ministerio Público en su acto conclusivo final (acusación).

    OBJECTIVE: To provide the reader with the basic aspects that must be observed in the processing of a crime scene, so that an efficient and objective technical defense can be carried out. METHOD: through documentary research. RESULT: it has been established that the crime scene represents the greatest source of evidence, in the criminal investigation, an efficient processing of the crime scene, allows to have the necessary evidence to strengthen the theory of the case and verify the criminal hypothesis, through scientific evidentiary means that allow linking the offender's participation in the commission of a criminal act. CONCLUSION: thus, the efficient processing of the crime scene contributes to the investigation of the truth, providing the necessary evidence to support the theory of the case presented by the Public Ministry in its final conclusive act (accusation).Keywords: crime scene, prosecution, criminal investigation.
