    El debate entre la necesidad de regular o no los aeropuertos continúa abierto. La posibilidad de ejercer poder de mercado sigue centrando la línea divisoria entre regular o no hacerlo. Si bien las posturas se dirigen cada vez más hacia posiciones menos intervencionistas (regular cuando sea necesario y ex post) el problema sigue siendo definir cuándo es posible. El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar una panorámica de la situación en el ámbito de la UE, las alternativas posibles y muchos de los problemas que se presentan en el avance hacia el establecimiento de un marco común de regulación más amplio que supere el actual.

    The debate between the need to regulate airports or not is still open. The possibility of exercising market power continues to center the dividing line between regulating or not doing so. Despite positions are increasingly moving towards less interventionist positions (regulate when necessary and ex post), it remains to be a problem the definition of when this is possible. The goal of this paper is to show an overview of the situation in the EU, the possible alternatives and many of the problems that arise in the progress towards the establishment of a broader common regulatory framework beyond the current one.
