El autor nos expone su relación con la filosofía como un relato. Entiende que, en el relato autobiográfico, se distinguen dos elementos: la formación y la peripecia. La formación tiene que ver con aquello que se pretende ser, la peripecia con aquello que se quiera o no uno acaba siendo.
¿Está todo relato conminado a convertirse en metarrelato? El texto contesta a esta cuestión reivindicando la pertinencia de no dejarse llevar por el azar, de seguir siendo moderno y manifestando la imposibilidad de que lo humano renuncie a una intención, un diseño, un propósito

The author exposes his relationship with philosophy as a story. He understands that, in the autobiographical narration, two elements are distinguished: the formation and the vicissitudes. Formation has to do with what one intends to be, the vicissitudes with what one ends up being, whether it´s wanted or not.
Is every story doomed to become a metanarrative? The text answers this question claiming the relevance of not being carried away by chance, of continuing to be modern and expressing the human inalienability of an intention, a design and a purpose
