A profissionalidade e os caminhos da educação social em Portugal – Um estudo

    O campo de intervenção do/a Técnico/a Superior de Educação Social tem-se construído, em Portugal, como um local onde se entrecruzam diferentes profissionais que trabalham de uma forma inter e multidisciplinar e se articulam na diversidade de saberes e culturas profissionais. Muitas destas profissões são relativamente recentes e a sua intervenção e público-alvo comportam, simultaneamente, potencial de complementaridade e de conflito. Este artigo pretende centrar-se na intervenção do/a Técnico/a Superior de Educação Social e ainda, ser um contributo para a reflexão sobre a identidade profissional destes/as técnicos/as. Neste sentido foi levada a cabo uma pesquisa sobre a origem da Educação Social em Portugal, e foi ainda realizada um levantamento, tendo por base a informação disponibilizada nos mais diversos sites das Universidades e Politécnicos, onde são lecionadas as Licenciaturas em Educação Social, com o objetivo de recolher informação referente à Área Classificação Nacional de Áreas de Educação e Formação (CNAEF) que está associada às respetivas Licenciaturas, assim como as saídas profissionais que são mencionadas.

    The field of intervention of the Superior Technician in Social Education has been built, in Portugal, as a place where different professionals intersect, working in an inter and multidisciplinary way and articulating in the diversity of knowledge and professional cultures. Many of these professions are relatively recent and their intervention and target audience simultaneously have the potential for complementarity and conflict. This article intends to focus on the intervention of the Higher Social Education Technician and also to be a contribution to the reflection on the professional identity of these technicians. In this sense, research was carried out on the origin of Social Education in Portugal, and a survey was also carried out, based on the information made available on the most diverse websites of Universities and Polytechnics, where the Degrees in Social Education are taught, with the aim of with the objective of collecting information regarding the National Classification of Education and Training Areas (CNAEF) that is associated with the respective Degrees, as well as the professional opportunities that are mentioned.
