Resumen
- Miogypsina (Miogypsina) globulina (MICHELOTTI) is identified for the first time from the Miocene strata in Northern Iraq, by means of a statistical study of certain parameters. This confirms the previous conclusion of the authors (AL-OMARI and SADEK, 1972) in assigning part of the lower Fars Formation to the Early Miocene instead of to the Middle Miocene only as has been done by earlier workers.
