La revolución digital supone un verdadero cambio de paradigma con respecto a las mecánicas típicas en el sector turístico. El/la turista ha experimentado una evolución desde su etiología tradicional, que organizaba sus viajes mediante agencias de viajes y se guiaba por experiencias de amigos o familiares, hasta llegar al adprosumer, digital, hiperconectado y multicanal. De ahí que la industria turística deba replantearse su modus operandi y centrarse en ofrecer una experiencia diferente para crear un entorno online a demanda del/de la turista. Este estudio realiza un recorrido por las tendencias del turismo digital que suponen un desafío de regulación jurídica, a saber: comercio electrónico y utilización de nuevos medios de pagos online, alojamiento colaborativo e intervención de plataformas digitales y la potencialidad de la tecnología basada en inteligencia artificial y blockchain, con las particularidades que suponen los mart contracts y el metaverso.
The digital revolution implies a real paradigm shift with respect to the typical mechanics in the tourism sector. The tourist has undergone an evolution from the traditional etiology, who organised his/her trips through travel agencies and was guided by the experiences of friends or family, to the adprosumer, digital, hyperconnected and multichannel. Hence, the tourism industry must rethink its modus operandi and focus on offering a different experience to create an online environment on the tourist's demand. This study offers and overview on the digital tourism that pose a challenge for legal regulation, namely: e-commerce and the use of new online payment methods, collaborative accommodation and the intervention of digital platforms, as well as the potential of technology based on artificial intelligence and blockchain, with the particularities that smart contracts and the metaverse entail.
