Insegurança alimentar em idosos observada a partir da Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílio – PNAD

    Food insecurity is a worrying problem in Brazil as well. the National Food and Nutrition Security System (SISAN) aims to create policies that promote the Human Right to Adequate Food to alleviate this scenario. The present study aimed to analyze data from elderly people with food insecurity according to the National Household Sample Survey (PNAD) in the years 2004, 2009 and 2013, which used the Brazilian Scale of Food Insecurity (EBIA). The methodology used for this article was bibliographic research followed by field research in the year 2022, with a search for secondary data from the IBGE, in a quantitative way. Data were statistically analyzed using the Bio.Estat 5.3 software, observing the North, Northeast, South, Southeast and Midwest regions. The results obtained through data analysis suggest that there was an improvement in the food security situation of the elderly in all regions between the studied period. Statistically, there was no difference observed between the years 2004 and 2009, however, there was a significant difference between the years 2004 and 2013 and also between the years 2009 and 2013.

    A insegurança alimentar constitui um problema preocupante no Brasil. O Sistema Nacional de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional (SISAN) possui como objetivo a criação de políticas que promovam o Direito Humano a Alimentação Adequada para amenizar tal cenário. O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar dados de idosos em insegurança alimentar de acordo com a Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílio (PNAD) nos anos de 2004, 2009 e 2013, a qual fez o uso da Escala Brasileira de Insegurança Alimentar (EBIA). A metodologia utilizada para este artigo foi a pesquisa bibliográfica seguida pela pesquisa de campo no ano de 2022, com busca por dados secundários junto ao IBGE, de forma quantitativa. Os dados foram analisados estatisticamente pelo software Bio.Estat 5.3 observando-se as regiões Norte, Nordeste, Sul, Sudeste e Centro Oeste. Os resultados obtidos através da análise dos dados sugerem que houve melhoria na situação de segurança alimentar dos idosos em todas as regiões entre o período estudado. Estatisticamente não houve diferença observada entre os anos de 2004 e 2009, porém, houve diferença significativa entre os anos de 2004 e 2013 e, ainda, entre os anos de 2009 e 2013.
