  El nuevo Eurocódigo 2 supone un avance muy significativo en el tratamiento de la fatiga en hormigón estructural, en comparación con el antiguo Eurocódigo. La fatiga adquiere una mayor relevancia y visibilidad en la nueva norma, y se amplía en campo de aplicación de este Estado Límite. Esta nueva norma europea se alinea con el Código Modelo 2010, considerado como el documento técnico de referencia en muchos aspectos del hormigón estructural (y también en fatiga) y, en menor medida, con el nuevo documento técnico publicado recientemente por el Instituto Americano del Hormigón.Este artículo muestra los cambios más relevantes del capítulo de fatiga en el nuevo Eurocódigo 2, en los que se ha producido un importante cambio, formal y/o conceptual, respecto al antiguo Eurocódigo 2.

  The new Eurocode 2 represents a very significant advance in the treatment of fatigue in structural concrete, compared to the old Eurocode. Fatigue acquires greater relevance and visibility in the new standard, and the field of application of this limit state is extended. This new European standard is aligned with the 2010 Model Code, considered as the technical reference document in many aspects of structural concrete (and also in fatigue) and, to a lesser extent, with the new technical document recently published by the American Concrete Institute.This paper shows the most relevant changes in the fatigue chapter of the new Eurocode 2, in which there has been an important formal and/or conceptual change with respect to the old Eurocode 2.
