Resumen de De Pastores dabo vobis a la Ratio fundamentalis institutionis sacerdotalis: La preocupación por la formación presbiteral en el reciente Magisterio de la Iglesia

Entre los documentos de mayor relevancia para la recepción y aplicación de las disposiciones del Concilio Vaticano II para la formación de los presbíteros, la Exhortación apostólica postsinodal Pastores dabo vobis (1992) y la actualización de la Ratio Fundamentalis Istitutionis Sacerdotalis: El don de la vocación presbiteral (2016) son los documentos más significativos que se deben tener en consideración en el presente y futuro inmediato de la educación inicial y continua de los sacerdotes. En este escrito trata de mostrar la continuidad entre ambos documentos, tanto en términos doctrinales como en cuanto a las principales directrices pastorales y disciplinares. Por otra, se esboza el desarrollo en estos mismos aspectos en los casi veinticinco años que median entre ambos escritos, a partir de las notas esenciales de la formación sacerdotal: única, integral, comunitaria, misionera.

Among the most relevant documents for the reception and application of the directives of the Second Vatican Council for the formation of priests, the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation Pastores dabo vobis (1992) and the updating of the Ratio fundamentalis istitutionis sacerdotalis: The Gift of the Priestly Vocation (2016) are the most significant documents to be taken into consideration in the present and immediate future for the initial and continuing education of priests. This essay attempts to show the continuity between the two documents, both in doctrinal terms and in terms of the main pastoral and disciplinary guidelines. It also describes how these aspects have evolved in the nearly twenty-five years between the two documents, starting from the essential notes of priestly formation: unique, integral, communitarian, and missionary.
