    En esta serie de dos artículos se examina la evolución histórica del Instituto Nacional del Combustible, centro de investigación que existió entre 1940 y 1965 y fue el origen común de dos actuales institutos del CSIC. En esta primera parte se examinan los siete primeros años de su existencia (1940-46), entre los que el último tiene especial relevancia debido a la reestructuración del propio Instituto Nacional del Combustible, la creación del Instituto Nacional del Carbón y la puesta en marcha de un sistema de financiación mediante aportaciones económicas de empresas mineras

    This series of two articles examines the historical evolution of the National Fuel Institute, a research center that existed between 1940 and 1965 and was the common origin of two current CSIC institutes . In this first part , the first seven years of its existence (1940 -46) are examined . The last year is especially significant due to the restructuring of the National Fuel Institute itself, the creation of the National Coal Institute and the implementation of a financing system through economic contributions from mining companies
