Resumen de Loftusia from Northern Iraq
A detailed investigation (microscopic and statistical) of Loftusia is carried out on specimens from the Aqra Formation (Maastrichtian) in Northern Iraq. Two main trends of evolution are concluded; the first is the gradual increase in size (length and diameter) of the genus Loftusia from older to younger strata, the second is the tendency to be more tightly coiled in lower horizons and more loosely coiled in the upper ones.
