Interpretación de la actividad agrícola sustentada en la formación y adecuadas prácticas de los productores de la provincia de manabí

    Definir modelos que permitan interpretar la actividad agrícola es prácticamente inexistente en el Ecuador; por tal motivo se estableció como objetivo interpretar la actividad agrícola sustentada en la formación y adecuadas prácticas de los productores de la provincia de Manabí, aprovechando la información que ofrece el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INEC) a través de la Encuesta de Superficie y Producción Agropecuaria Continua (ESPAC) del año 2021, la cual es la base cálculo para la elaboración de indicadores relacionados con la formación y adecuadas prácticas de los productores agrícolas; con estos indicadores se desarrolla la metodología de interpretación, de manera de delimitar la actividad agrícola por cantones. La metodología comprende el análisis estadístico multivariante, donde se realiza en primer lugar el análisis factorial de componentes principales con rotación varimax con el fin de reducir las variables a un número más pequeño y que no estén relacionadas; posteriormente se utiliza el análisis k-medias (Cluster) para la interpretación de la actividad agrícola sustentadas en las adecuadas prácticas de los productores, es decir, se buscan los agrupamientos entre los cantones que tengan similitudes, por último se emplea el análisis discriminante para validar la interpretación. El resultado de la interpretación permite conocer cómo se comporta la actividad agrícola en función de la capacitación y adecuadas prácticas identificando grupos de cantones con particularidades con el fin de establecer medidas de acción que ayuden a fortalecer la capacitación y las adecuadas prácticas de la actividad agrícola.

    Defining models that allow interpreting agricultural activity is practically non-existent in Ecuador; For this reason, the objective was to interpret the agricultural activity supported by the training and adequate practices of the producers of the province of Manabí, taking advantage of the information offered by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) through the Surface Survey and Continuous Agricultural Production (ESPAC) of the year 2021, which is the calculation basis for the elaboration of indicators related to the training and adequate practices of agricultural producers; With these indicators, the interpretation methodology is developed, in order to delimit the agricultural activity by cantons. The methodology includes multivariate statistical analysis, where the factorial analysis of principal components with varimax rotation is first carried out in order to reduce the variables to a smaller number and that are not related; Subsequently, the k-means analysis (Cluster) is used for the interpretation of the agricultural activity supported by the adequate practices of the producers, that is, the groupings between the cantons that have similarities are sought, finally the discriminant analysis is used to validate interpretation. The result of the interpretation allows us to know how the agricultural activity behaves based on training and adequate practices, identifying groups of cantons with particularities in order to establish action measures that help strengthen training and adequate practices of agricultural activity.
