  El artículo analiza las ideas sobre la enseñanza de la historia del derecho de Juan Antonio Iribarren y Aníbal Bascuñán Valdés (y, a través de ellos, las de Valentín Letelier y Rafael Altamira y Crevea), y la concepción polifacética, y muestra que la historia de la disciplina a lo largo de 115 años, desde la fundación de la cátedra en Chile, conoce momentos de innovación didáctica fundados en el interés por el aprendizaje de los estudiantes y la formación de un abogado con conciencia crítica. La presencia de estas propuestas permite sostener la potencialidad de la cátedra para la formación del abogado del siglo XXI.

  The article analyzes the ideas of Juan Antonio Iribarren and Aníbal Bascuñán Valdés (and, through these authors, the ideas of Valentín Letelier and Rafael Altamira y Crevea) on the teaching of the history of law, and the multifaceted conception of the history of law, and it demonstrates that the history of the discipline 115 years after the founding of the chair in Chile has had moments of didactic innovation based on the interest in student learning and the formation of a lawyer with a critical conscience. The presence of these proposals allows to sustain the potential of the chair for the training of the lawyer of the 21st century.
