Resumen de Tertiary Larger Foraminiferal Zones of Pakistan

A.A. Kureshy

  • The Tertiary carbonate deposits of Pakistan are characterized by restricted stratigraphic ranges of larger foraminiferal species. These deposits range in age from Paleocene to Early Miocene, and are divided into ten zones on the basis of the larger foraminifera species. These zones are designated by their characteristic species, which are restricted to their respective zones. These zones are correlated with the European stages and the «Letter Stage» classification of East Indies.
