  • Resumen
    • The palynological analysis of the Nubia Sandstone in Ed-Dueim area has yielded 24 species from 17 genera of pollen and spores, showing two different palynological zones. The lower zone (depth from 1020 to 1935 Ft) is characterized by abundance of Araucariacites, Inaperturopollenites, Ephedripites, Eucommiidites, etc. The upper zone (depth from 200 to 355 Ft) is characterized by the presence of Tricolpites, Tricolpopollenites, Retitricolpites, Classopollis, etc. These palynological assemblages were described and compared with those previously described from Egypt, United States and Europe and the age of the Nubia Sandstone was discussed.
