  • Resumen
    • The study of rock samples from Sudr East Well No. 2, on the eastern side of the Gulf of Suez, Egypt, has shown that among the microfossils occurring in the Burdigalian-Langhian transitional strata, there are several new planktonic foraminiferal species which, due to their frequent development and stratigraphic importance, need to be described. These new species did not fit into any previously described general, and hence they have been included in this paper for description under the name of Globigerinanus, a new genus belonging to the subfamily Globigerininae of the family Globigerinidae.
