Resumen de Standard Nannofossil zones of Egypt. Part I- Maestrichtian
The careful study of the encountered calcareous nannoplankton in the Maestrichtian strata in Egypt has resulted in precise dating of these rocks. Three Nannofossil zones are distinguished from top to base as follows; Nephrolithus frequens Zone, Lithraphidites quadratus Zone, and Tetralithus gothicus trifidus Zone. These zones are successfully traced and correlated with their equivalents units in Egypt and other parts of the world.
