Retos epistemológicos de la archivística en las entidades privadas en Colombia

    Este ensayo nace a partir de la identificación de las necesidades documentales de las entidades privadas en Colombia, las cuales no deben responder ante el ente rector archivístico de acuerdo con la ley colombiana. Al respecto, se identifican los retos epistemológicos que enfrenta la archivística en las entidades privadas, así como los elementos que brindan cientificidad al área, y se destaca el rol del archivista frente al abordaje de desafíos y la resolución de problemas. Para ello, se adoptó la técnica de observación pasiva a un proyecto de gestión documental en una entidad privada, y se corroboraron los datos obtenidos mediante la investigación bibliográfica. Así, primero, se evidenció el panorama de la archivística en las entidades privadas; posteriormente, se identificaron y desarrollaron tres retos epistemológicos: la adaptación de instrumentos archivísticos, el cuestionamiento del concepto de documento, y el cuestionamiento del alcance de la archivística. Como resultado, la principal característica que brinda cientificidad y disminuye cuestionamientos es la resolución de problemas basada en los paradigmas y la teoría propia del área; también, la unanimidad en el gremio acerca de la aplicación y la adaptación de herramientas archivísticas para garantizar la satisfacción del usuario. Se concluye que la archivística posee los fundamentos teóricos y los paradigmas necesarios para afrontar los retos epistemológicos en el campo laboral; sin embargo, en Colombia, el enfoque del archivista debe ser el usuario, a fin de que la resolución de problemas sea efectiva y no se aplique la teoría archivística de modo impositivo y burocrático.

    This essay is born from the identification of the documentary needs of private entities in Colombia, which should not respond to the archival governing body in accordance with Colombian Law. Therefore, the epistemological challenges faced by archivists in private entities are identified, as well as the elements that provide scientificity to the area, and the role of the archivist in solving challenges and problems is highlighted. This is achieved through observation without intervention during a document management project in a private entity and is corroborated by bibliographic research. In this sense, three epistemological challenges were identified and developed, which are: the adaptation of archival instruments for private entities, the questioning of the concept of document and the questioning of the scope of archiving. As a result, it was identified that the main characteristic that provides scientificity and reduces questions is the resolution of problems applying the paradigms and the theory of the area, as well as the unanimity in the union regarding the application and adaptation of archival tools to guarantee satisfaction. of the user, finally, it is concluded that archiving has the theoretical foundations and paradigms necessary to face the epistemological challenges in the labor field, however, in Colombia, the archivist must have a user-centered approach to guarantee that the resolution of problems is effective, and the archival theory is not applied in a taxing and bureaucratic way.
