Resumen de New Genera and Species of Ostracoda from the Bathonian of Oxfordshire, England

  • Twelve new species of Ostracoda are herein described. Two, Dromacythere sagittata and Arkellicythere sulcata, belong to new monotypic genera. The remaining new species are Galliaecytheridea (?) micropapillata, Pichottia elegans, Limnocythere ceratina, Neurocythere (?) kirtlingtonense, Hekistocythere micropunctata, Hekistocythere postarcuata, Oligocythereis vermiculata, Platycy there favosa, Mandelstamia bathonica, and Mandelstamia (?) pusilla. A species of Timiriasevia is left with open nomenclature. The palaeoecological affinities of the new taxa are commented upon. This new fauna was found in association with 74 previously described species during a palaeoecological study of a thin mammal bed of Ba- thonian age in Oxfordshire, England.
