Resumen de Covid-19 y recintos penitenciarios en Bolivia

  El artículo, apoyado en documentación hemerográfica, presenta el estado de situación que atravesó el sistema penitenciario durante los primeros cinco meses desde la aparición del primer caso registrado de covid-19 en Bolivia. Describe las recomendaciones internacionales aplicadas para prevenir y reducir el impacto de la pandemia, y resume las principales acciones y medidas sanitarias tomadas dentro de los recintos penitenciarios, el manejo de audiencias virtuales y el proceso de aprobación del Decreto Presidencial N° 4226 de indulto y amnistía.

  The article, supported by hemerographic documentation, presents the state of affairs that the prison system went through during the first five months since the appearance of the first registered case of Covid-19 in Bolivia. It describes the international recommendations applied to prevent and reduce the impact of the pandemic and summarizes the main actions and sanitary measures taken within prisions, the management of virtual court hearings and the process of promulgation of the Supreme Decree N° 4226 for pardon and amnesty.
