Resumen La presente investigación, se desarrolló con los estudiantes de la carrera de Bibliotecología y Ciencias de la Información de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación - Universidad Mayor San Andrés. Esta investigación, por un lado, relaciona los aportes de las herramientas de las Web 2.0 Redes Sociales - Facebook y telefonía móvil - WhatsApp (como medios didácticos virtuales), la Teoría de Aprendizaje Significativo de David P. Aubel (material potencialmente significativo, nuevo concepto en la estructura cognitiva previa) y el aprendizaje holístico (desarrollo de las dimensiones del Ser, Conocer, Hacer, Decidir). Esta relación permite reflexionar que de alguna manera el Facebooky el WhatsApp orientados con fines pedagógicos permiten a los estudiantes desarrollarse íntegramente, ya que estas herramientas son utilizadas en la cotidianidad. Por otro lado, la investigación está fundamentada, demostrada a través de una experiencia pedagógica en pequeña escala, que los medios didácticos virtuales basados en la teoría Ausbeliana influyen de algún modo en el desarrollo de las cuatro dimensiones del aprendizaje holístico. Y por último, esta investigación establece una estrategia alternativa para proporcionar Aprendizaje Significativo-Holístico en los estudiantes con el objetivo de responder al encargo social y a las necesidades de aprendizaje.

Abstract This research was developed with students of Library Science and Information Science belonging to the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences - Mayor San Andrés University. On the one hand, this research relates the contributions of the tools of Web 2.0 social networks - Facebook and mobile - WhatsApp (as virtual teaching aids), the theory of Meaningful Learning of David P. Aubel (potentially meaningful material, new concept in the previous cognitive structure) and the holistic learning (development of the dimensions of Being, Knowing, Doing, and Deciding). This relationship allows thinking that somehow Facebook and WhatsApp, oriented to educational purposes, permit students to develop fully due to the fact that these tools are used in daily life. On the other hand, the research proves that virtual teaching aids, based on the theory of Aubel, influence on the development of the four dimensions of holistic learning in some way, demonstrated through an educational experience at small scale. Finally, this research establishes an alternative strategy to provide students Meaningful-Holistic Learning in orderto meet the social commitment and learning needs.
