    Our main objective in this article is to show how the sections "of the reason of animals" support the thesis of a naturalization of Hume's epistemology. To this end, it will be divided into three major parts. In the first one, we will show how Hume used analogy as a basis for assuming continuity between the intellective faculties of human and non-human animals. In the second, we will indicate the similarities that corroborate the analogy and, in the last one, we will point out that the differences between humans and other animals are only of degree and never of quality.

    Nosso objetivo central neste artigo é mostrar como as seções of the reason of animals sustentam a tese de uma naturalização da epistemologia de Hume. Para tal, ele será dividido em três grandes partes. Na primeira, mostraremos como Hume utilizou a analogia como fundamento para presupor uma continuidade entre as faculdades intelectivas dos animais humanos e não humanos. Na segunda, indicaremos as semelhanças que corroboram a analogia e, na última, apontaremos que as diferenças entre os humanos e demais animais são apenas de grau e nunca de qualidade.
