The purpose of this work is to offer some reflections on the discourse in one of the mostused social networks in recent years, Instagram. We will focus on the study of the operatorsthat are applied in the messages posted by the most followed Spanish fitness influencers.Therefore, in the first place, the development of different social networks will be characterizedshortly, emphasizing the current use of Instagram. Second, we will show the definitionsand methodology within discourse analysis that seem to us the most appropriate for thiswork. In this part of the article, we will take advantage of the theory of argumentation in thelanguage proposed by Anscombre and Ducrot, developed by Fuentes Rodríguez and Alcaide Lara who study in detail the use of operators. Finally, we will use the definitions and methodology in the analytical part where the messages published in the official profiles of four Spanish influencers will be studied.
