    The God character presented by the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges throughout his work, according to this bibliographical research, is the verb, the very writing that is in constant dialogue with other gods that, together, form a web of harmonic and discordant correlations that aims to break paradigms and create new linguistic/literary pacts. As a representation of this metalinguistic process, the short story O Aleph (1949) is initially defined to deal with the conception of the character as a being that expands from the proposal of the infinity of lan-guage. Therefore, the origin so debated in the text is in the fictional and poetic writing moved by the intertextuality revisited and present in various universes, especially the biblical/kabbalistic. On the other hand, the relationship of repeti-tion inserted in the short stories and essays of the author in question evidences a new flank of possibilities to literature equated to the ideals of the library that populates the fiction and autobiography of the author. The creative word takes control of the construction of God and all its textual extensions that are replicated in theological discourses between the natural and the supernatural of the story read and retold tirelessly.

    Deus, personagem apresentado pelo es-critor argentino Jorge Luis Borges ao longo de sua obra, de acordo com esta pesquisa bibliográfica, é o verbo, a própria escrita que está em constante diálogo com outros deuses que, juntos, formam uma teia de correlações que podem ser harmônicas ou discordan-tes, com a potência de romper paradigmas e criar novos pactos linguísticos/literários. Como análise desse processo metalinguísti-co se delimita, inicialmente, o conto O Aleph(1949) para tratar da concepção da persona-gem enquanto ser que se expande a partir da proposta de infinitude da linguagem. Logo, a origem tão debatida no texto está na escrita ficcional e poética movida pela intertextuali-dade revisitada e presente em variados uni-versos, especialmente o bíblico/cabalístico. Já a relação de repetição inserida nos contos e ensaios do autor evidencia um novo flanco de possibilidades à literatura equiparada ao ideário de biblioteca que povoa a ficção e a autobiografia do autor. A palavra criadora assume o controle da cons-trução de Deus e todos os seus prolongamentos textuais que se replicam em discursos teológicos entre o natural e o sobrenatural da história lida e recontada incansavelmente.
