  • 27 calcareous nannoplankton species from the Dakhla Shale, Tarawan Chalk and Esna Shale Formations outcropping at Qusseir area, are identified, classified and illustrated. Seven biozones are established. By comparing these biozones with those based on the planktonic foraminifera in the same area, a high resolution biostratigraphic zonation is attempted.
