Resumen de Mención a la bibliografía en los metadatos de representación de objetos museables

  Las categorías de información sobre los objetos mu-seablesse representan en la web a través de metada-tos, y es en la práctica de la documentación museística que estos aspectos aparecerán o no como facilitado-res del acceso y comprensión del objeto por parte del usuario. Entre los diversos aspectos a describir sobre el objeto de museo (como autoría, material, iconogra-fía, entre otros), el foco de esta investigación está en los metadatos de “bibliografía”, ya que este tipo de re-ferencia vincula el objeto con otra información, am-pliando, profundizando o reafirmando su contexto ori-ginal. El objetivo de esta investigación esverificar cuá-lesy cómo los museos de arte utilizan los metadatos “bibliográficos” en el conjunto de elementos descripti-vos de los objetos museablesque componen sus co-lecciones. Los resultados indican que,de un total de 34 museos analizados de diferentes partes del mundo, 14 incluyen bibliografía y 20 que no cuentan con nin-gún tipo de referencia. Además, 28 museos no contie-nen ningún otro vínculo con materiales documentales y solo 6 mantienen y consideran importante la inclu-sión de bibliografía complementaria.

  The categories of information about museum objects are represented on the web through metadata, and it is in the practice of museum documentation that these aspects will or won’t appear as facilitators of access and understanding of the object by user. Among vari-ous aspects to describe about the museum object (such as authorship, material, iconography, andoth-ers), the focus of this research is on the "bibliography" metadata, since this type of reference links the object with other information, expanding, deepening or reaf-firming its original context. The objective of this re-search is to verify which and how art museums use "bibliographic" metadata in the set of descriptive ele-ments of the museumobjects that make up their col-lections. The results indicate that of 34 museums ana-lyzed from different parts of the world, 14 include a bib-liography and 20 do not have any type of reference. In addition, 28 museums do not contain any other link with documentary materials and only 6 maintain and consider the inclusion of complementary bibliography important.
