El Códice 32 de la Biblioteca Capitular de Osma: Diócesis y monasterios dela península Ibérica y tasas por “servitia communia” según el “liber Taxarum”, códice nº 32 de la Biblioteca Capitular de la Catedral de El Burgo de Osma (Soria), de principios del siglo XV (Papado de Aviñón)

    El Archivo de la Biblioteca Capitular de la Catedral de El Burgo de Osma (Soria) posee un manuscrito, el nº 32, cuyo título es Tabla de todas las iglesias del mundo o Tabula omnium ecclesiarum mundi. Este manuscrito es de la última etapa del pontificado de Aviñón, del pontificado de Benedicto XIII. El fuerte centralismo de la Iglesia tuvo como consecuencia un aparato administrativo y curial complejo, bien organizado y de alto coste. Para poder hacer frente a los dispendios se impusieron tasas e impuestos pagados directamente a la curia pontifi-cia, entre ellos los Servitia communia que contiene el manuscrito, que pagaban los obispos y abades a la Cámara Apostólica en la ocasión de su nombramiento o confirmación o su traslado, que se consignaban en los denominados libri obligationum, conservados en el Archivo Secreto Vaticano y también en los Libri taxarum, uno de los cuales el ms. 32 de la Catedral de El Burgo de Osma. Este manuscrito ofrece una panorámica, geográfica y fiscal, de lo que era la Cristiandad de prin-cipios del siglo XV: 916 obispados censados y 1966 monasterios. En el presente artículo figuran, además de los monasterios, las diócesis de la Península Ibérica con las correcciones y adiciones posteriores como la sustitución de Yspania por Regni Castelle.     The Archive of the Chapter Library of the Cathedral of El Burgo de Osma (Soria) has a manuscript, no. 32, which is entitled Table of all the churches of the world or Tabula omnium ecclesiarum mundi. This manuscript dates from the last stage of the pontificate of Avignon, the pontificate of Benedict XIII. The strong centralism of the Church resul-ted in a complex, well-organised and costly administrative and curial apparatus. In order to cope with the expenses, taxes and duties paid di-rectly to the pontifical curia were imposed, including the Servitia com-munia contained in the manuscript, which bishops and abbots paid to the Apostolic Chamber on the occasion of their appointment or confir-mation or their transfer, and which were recorded in the so-called Libri obligationum, preserved in the Vatican Secret Archives and also in the Libri taxarum, one of which is ms. 32 in the Cathedral of El Burgo de Osma. This manuscript offers a geographical and fiscal overview of what Christendom was like at the beginning of the 15th century: 916 bishoprics listed and 1966 monasteries. This article includes, in addi-tion to the monasteries, the dioceses of the Iberian Peninsula with later corrections and additions such as the replacement of Yspania by Regni Castelle.
