    El presente artículo se centra en el análisis de una parte del fantástico y del horror fílmico que se erige sobre lo que podríamos denominar terror vegetal. Estos filmes ponen en escena miedos primitivos y adaptativos y convierten el espacio forestal en un territorio simbólico y animista. Así ponemos el foco en el Folk Horror, subgénero en el que el fantástico vegetal ha medrado y ganado popularidad en el séptimo arte de las últimas décadas, donde el paisaje es un protagonista más de la trama, con unos actantes sometidos al aislamiento físico y mental, y donde se desata el componente sobrenatural. Por último, realizamos un recorrido por las figuras de la dríade y de la bruja desde el análisis de las cuestiones de género y en relación con la metáfora arquetípica mujer versus naturaleza dionisíaca.

    This article focuses on the analysis of a part of the fantastic and the filmic horror that is built on what we could call vegetal terror. These films stage primitive and adaptive fears and turn the forest space into a symbolic and animist territory. Thus, we focus on Folk Horror, a subgenre in which the fantastic plant has thrived and gained popularity in the seventh art in recent decades, where the landscape is one more protagonist of the plot, with some actants subjected to physical and mental isolation, and where the supernatural component is unleashed. Finally, we take a tour of the figures of the dryad and the witch by analyzing gender issues in relation to the archetypal metaphor woman versus Dionysian nature.
