  • The study of the group Globorotalia cerroazulensis and the found of Orbulinoides beckmanni (Saito) enabled the author to substitute the local planktonic foraminiferal zones for the interregional zones elaborated by Bolli, H. M. (1957, 1966, 1972). He showed the presence of the Globorotalia lehneri, Orbulinoides beckmanni and Truncorotaloides rohri zones in the Lutetian of the Bakony Mountains (Transdanubien Midmountains).

    Besides, he proved that a level of erosion was situated at the base of the Truncorotaloides rohri zone. During the transgression which followed, the NE Bakony was progressively recovered by the sea, between the Upperst Lutetian and the Lower Priabonian.
