Biozonation of the Maastrichtian of section II at Kef en Nsoura, Tunisia, and taxonomy of some Globotruncanidae

• Resumen

  • The Maastrichtian part of section II exposed at the locality of Kef en Nsoura, Enfidaville, Tunisia, contains a rich and well-preserved planktic foraminiferal fauna. The section is zoned on the basis of the Maastrichtian index fossils belonging to this fauna.

    Nine species belonging to the genera Globotruncana Cushman and Rugotruncana Brönnimann & Brown are discussed.
