Javier de Lucas ha integrado la literatura en muchos de sus trabajos. Aunque esta no es el objeto central de sus reflexiones, lo cierto es que tanto su comprensión del derecho y de la justicia como la exposición docente de los mismos están atravesadas por la literatura. De Jonathan Swift a Abdulrazak Gurnah, de Albert Camus a Harper Lee, hay toda una serie de citas y pasajes recurrentes en la obra del filósofo experto en cuestiones sobre las que la ficción literaria echó luz allá donde la prosa científica no alcanzaba, así la idea de solidaridad, de dignidad, la figura del «otro» y del diferente. Este trabajo rastrea la presencia de la literatura en la obra de Javier de Lucas así como propone algunas claves sobre su concepción de la cultura.

Javier de Lucas integrated literature in many of his works. Although this is not the central object of his reflections, the truth is that both his understanding of law and justice and the teaching exposition of the same are crossed by literature. From Jonathan Swift to Abdulrazak Gurnah, from Albert Camus to Harper Lee, there is a whole series of recurring quotes and passages in the work of the expert philosopher on issues on which literary fiction shed light where scientific prose was not enough, thus the idea of solidarity, of dignity, the figure of the other, of the different. This work traces the presence of literature in the work of Javier de Lucas as well as proposes some keys on his conception of culture.
