Maastrichtian and Palaeocene species of the ostracode genus Foveoleberis from Saudi Arabia

  • Six species of the genus Foveoleberis Malz (1980) from the Maastrichtian and Palaeocene of Saudi Arabia are described and illustrated in this paper. These consist of F. angurium (Al-Furaih, 1980), F. oculata (Al-Furaih, 1980), F. ovata sp.nov., F. stagnosa (Al-Furaih, 1980), F. trapezium sp.nov. and F. vulsa (Al Furaih, 1980). The present work extends the geological range of this genus back into the Arabian Maastrichtian.
