Crítica al autoritarismo en tiempos de apocalipsis (de Hayek a Girard pasando por Agamben y Canetti)

    En este artículo se presentan cuatro caminos convergentes en la denuncia de los mecanismos institucionales que llevan a la servidumbre política y el autoritarismo estatal. Desde perspectivas muy alejadas, Hayek y Agamben coinciden en denunciar la creciente amenaza que se cierne sobre las sociedades abiertas por la pinza entre la dinámica de crecimiento estatal y el ansia de dominio de la tecnociencia. Con otro enfoque, centrado en los mecanismos de reproducción sociales, Girard y Canetti desmenuzan la dinámica de aglomeración colectiva que lleva a los individuos aperder su conciencia personal para subsumirse en el magma de la acción masificada. A partir del análisis cruzado de las reflexiones y propuestas de Hayek, Agamben, Girard y Canetti plantearemos un marco general para una praxis democrática y liberadora que resista los embates autoritarios que, sin duda, se volverán a plantear cuando vuelva a producirse una amenaza general como las ocurridas en tiempos de guerra o pandemia.

    This article presents four convergent paths in denouncing the institutional, anthropological and social mechanisms that lead to political servitude and state authoritarianism. From very different perspectives, Friedrich Hayek and Giorgio Agamben coincide in denouncing the growing threat to open societies posed by the clamp between the dynamics of state growth and the lust for domination of technoscience. With another approach, centered on the mechanisms of social reproduction, René Girard and Elias Canetti break down the dynamics of collective agglomeration that leads individuals to lose their personal conscience in order to subsume themselves in the magma of mass action. From the cross analysis of the reflections and proposals of Hayek, Agamben, Girard and Canetti, we will propose a general framework for a democratic and liberating praxis that will resist the authoritarian onslaughts that will undoubtedly arise again when a general threat like those that occurred in times of war or pandemic happens again.
