    An incipient cultural system can make up for its possible deficiencies, and can also guarantee its legitimacy, autonomy and expansion by resorting to a consolidated cultural system which acts as a support of its owm objectives against its opposing referent. In the case which concerns us, which constitutes a vital period for the consolidation of galeguismo and its theoretical apparatus, those groups that defend a Galician cultural sovereigny turn to the Portuguese system on the basis of a common identity, and forward the reintegration of the Galician system into the setting- up of a Portuguese-Galician intercultural system. In that specific process, some Portuguese scholars played a decisive role.

    Un systêrne culturel jeune peut combler ses lacunes et garantir sa légitimité, son autonomie et son expansion en s' appuyant sur un autre systêrne déjà consolidé agissant comme support de ses objectifs face à son référent d'opposition. Dans le cas qui nous intéresse -une période tres importante pour la consolidation du galeguismo et de son corpus théorique - les secteurs qui défendent la souveraineté culturelle galicienne ont recours au systeme portugais, se basant pour cela sur une identité commune et prônant la reintégration de leur systerne dans la constitution d'un systeme interculturel luso-galicien. Dans ce processus, certains intellectuels portugais ont joué un rôle fondamental.
