University Social Responsibility (USR) expresses the necessary interaction of higher education institutions with society in the fulfillment of their mission and in search of the transformation of society. At this time of the Covid-19 pandemic and its repercussions for humanity, the university has reacted by incorporating new strategies with social relevance to prevent the spread of this disease; the University of Guadalajara, combining its main role (education), with regard to health, has acted with objectivity from the Health Situation Room, seeking to safeguard the public. This research is carried out with a qualitative approach, from the theoretical consideration, and shows the results of the responsible behavior of the university community and the non-responsibility of the general population, in the face of the compliance of protocols and care that this pandemic request. The results were obtained from a questionnaire with IV sections, one for general data and the others for research questions with a total of 47 variables. From the results obtained, it is valued that the University of Guadalajara has been very responsible while the society, in general, has acted irresponsibly from the resistance to be vaccinated, failing to comply with the confinement and not following the protocols, carrying more contagion and propagation of the covid-19 virus in its various mutations.
