Resumen de La partícula ἄρα: orígenes y evolución semántica
The purpose of this paper is to present the most accurate possible semantic description of the particle ἄρα given the variety of uses that have been attributed to it. As will be seen, the original function of ἄρα was to mark that its proposition is accommodated to the common ground. From this basic function, the particle developed inferential values until it became a consequential connector in Postclassical Greek. At the same time, the particle was used as a mark of interest or surprise, although this use is less important than is often thought.
